Who are we?
Welcome to The Accidental Bookkeeper. We are a team of professional ladies who come from an accounting & business background. Collectively, we have over 50 years experience in the industry and we simply LOVE working with businesses and numbers.
We are an Australian bookkeeping service that is 100% virtual. All of our clients embrace technology to ensure their books are up to date every week. We work online all the time by embracing receipt capture apps, cloud based accounting apps and video meeting platforms for meetings. We love tech savvy clients!
Our mission is to provide stellar bookkeeping services to our clients at the level that an accountant would provide. We have the knowledge, experience and know-how to manage your books so that your accountant can spend less time fixing things and more time accounting!
Our ownership team is made up of 3 ladies who love what they do.
Lauren Baldock is one of our account managers. She loves working with people and their businesses. She is fascinated by different business set ups and loves working with clients to optimise their business procedures. She also is our Marketing and Sustainability guru on our podcast and occasional guest co-host. In her spare time, Lauren is a wildlife rescuer and carer looking after marsupials so they can be released back in the wild.
Jade Rawson is one of our other account manager and has a Diploma in Accounting as well as being a Registered BAS Agent. Jade loves solving problems for clients and has a passion for ensuring clients are getting the best outcome in any situation. You will also hear Jade as one of the hosts on our very own podcast. Outside of work, Jade loves being spending time with her family or reading a great fiction book with a glass of red.
Joanne McCauley is a CPA and has her Masters in Taxation! Jo also runs a successful accounting firm called Jigsaw Tax & Advisory, which works alongside The Accidental Bookkeeper. Jo is a fabulous writer and creates most of our articles. She is the co-host for our podcast and she has a knack for educating and empowering business owners. Jo loves spending time with her husband, children and dog. She is also the other host for our podcast!
Together, our three directors are so excited to be working with small business owners and empowering them to make the best business decisions by having their books and numbers up to date and at their fingertips. We work virtually so we have the ability to services business throughout Australia and embrace the use of technology so that we can work on your business with minimal distruptions to your day!
